Prohibited Items Policy

• People, animals, human remains, or medical specimens.
• Illegal goods, stolen property, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia.
• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, or weapons requiring special handling.
• Gasoline, propane in unsafe containers, corrosives, toxic chemicals, biohazards, or other regulated hazardous materials.
• Unsecured cash, negotiable instruments, irreplaceable documents, or unusually valuable collectibles.
• Items whose size, weight, condition, or access requirements create an unsafe load or exceed the accepted job description.

A hauler may decline or pause an item that is undisclosed, unsafe, illegal, damaged in a way that prevents safe handling, or unsuitable for the vehicle. Contact HITS for an operational review.
